The World MX circus and Fantic Factory Team Maddii flew to the other side of the world for the twelfth round of the World MXGP 2022, which took place in Indonesia. For the first time the rainbow series landed on the island of Samota-Sumbawa where an ad hoc track was created, with a technical and very fast track that the riders really liked.
Excellent performance for Nicholas Lapucci, eleventh in the Indonesia GP
Nicholas Lapucci was at ease on the Indonesian track and set excellent times right from free practice and in the time trials he set the ninth fastest time overall.
Also in the qualifying heat the Fantic rider confirmed the ninth time he set in qualifying.
At the start of the first heat Nicholas was unable to get a good start, but he quickly managed to regain the position he had lost and thanks to an excellent race pace, during which he kept up with the best MXGP riders, he finished in eleventh position.
The second moto saw Nicholas once again put in some excellent times that gave him the opportunity to compete with the best rivals and finish again in eleventh position, giving the Fantic Factory Team Maddii an excellent result in the Indonesian round.
Marco Maddii commented on the race: “It was a good day for Nicholas, with two eleventh places, but the most important thing is that he was very close to the best, keeping up with the top riders. We still lack something in terms of physical fitness over the distance, but we would have signed up for a result like this before this long trip. We are happy with what we have done and this result gives us the right incentive to continue working in this direction”.
